| Hayley Young, PE & PLS (CO), LEED AP NDHayley Young is a professional engineer who added professional land surveyor to her title while performing as Director of Engineering at a land surveying company and seeking to improve her legal and practical understanding of the field required to translate design to the real world. She has worked on numerous public and private projects along the front range including light-rail and commuter-rail stations, floodplain analysis, runway rehabilitation, roadway design, subdivision design and construction, commercial development, and vertical residential services. Her personal and professional focus is to provide sustainable options for development with an interdisciplinary ethic, which has influenced numerous shifts towards native seeding and pollinator parks and has reduced unnecessary irrigation and infrastructure and increased efficiency. Hayley has authored papers on thermal conductivity of soils, provided tutoring in numerous subjects, taught at a university level, and has run an internship program for engineering and surveying students. Hayley holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri and Colorado School of Mines, respectively.
